Some 85% of the affluent say it is important to ensure a comfortable standard of living during retirement, compared with 80% who say it is important to maintain their current standard of living.

Less important to the affluent are building a sizable investment portfolio (75%), minimizing income taxes (72%) and protecting their estates from tax taxes (62%).
