Retirement planning is the service most prized by high net worth individuals of all ages who use financial advisors.
Nearly three-fourths (71%) of the affluent cite retirement planning as the advisor-provided service that is most important to them. Not surprising, the regard for retirement planning services declines with age, falling from 85%of those who are 45 or younger to 53% of those who are 66 or older.
Next most important to affluent individuals are full-service brokerage services (61%), online access to accounts (56%), estate planning (49%) and tax planning services (44%). Less important to these individuals are trust services (31%), online brokerage services (29%), online education and information (27%), private banking services (23%), insurance products (19%) and charitable planning (14%).
