Virtually all affluent individuals use the Internet, at least for personal and business correspondence.
Fully 95% of the affluent regularly use e-mail. As they have become more comfortable with that application, a growing number of these individuals have begun using the Internet for a host of other applications, as well. New research shows 93% of affluent individuals use the Internet to access personal financial information. Smaller but still significant percentages of individuals use it to research stocks or mutual funds (84%), trade securities (75%), pay bills (71%), plan for financial goals (68%), correspond with an advisor or provider (68%) or evaluate the capability of a financial services firm (56%).
