Some 44% of those surveyed by Spectrem Group plan to transfer a portion of their wealth during their lifetime, and another 9% want to transfer it all before they die. These individuals say they want to be able to see the benefits of their bequests.

The survey further shows millionaires are more inclined than the less wealthy to transfer their assets while they are alive (61% vs. 46%).
