Strong concerns about the Economic Environment caused this measure to rise 7 points, since Oct. 2007, from 12 to 19%. Stock Market conditions continue to weigh heavily on the minds of the Affluent and Millionaires, as they consider affects on their investment portfolio’s. The measure has steadily risen 13 points, since April 2007, from 13 to 26%. Intriguing this month was the jump in Retirement as a factor that affects investment plans. Echoing affluent worry about how the markets might affect their retirement funds, concerns about Retirement soared up sharply 7 points, from 6 to 13%, since Oct. 2007. This measure may continue to be a concern as the affluent population grays and the recession deepens. Housing and real estate concerns were overtaken by the overall economy as factors that affect investing plans.
