Millionaire Corner is published by Spectrem Group, the premier research and consulting firm in the wealth and retirement industry.

Chicago-based Spectrem Group has been studying investors for the past 20 years. Each year, interviews and surveys are conducted in 25,000 to 30,000 households to discern their financial needs and preferences. These findings are distributed in a series of publications to the financial services industries. The Spectrem Millionaire Investor Confidence Index (SMICI) ℠ and the Spectrem Affluent Investor Confidence Index (SAICI) ® are published monthly and are used by the media and the financial community as barometers to measure the economic health of the nation.

Catherine S. McBreen is President of Millionaire Corner.  McBreen plans and develops content for Millionaire Corner.  Catherine Balances editorial content to meet the informational needs of both new and seasoned investors.  She designs special monthly surveys on topical issues affecting the economic environment.

McBreen has a B.S. in speech communications from Northwestern University and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.  She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.

Well-known for her expertise in the affluent and retirement arenas, McBreen is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.  She has been quoted widely by the financial media, including The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Research, Private Asset Management, On Wall Street, Reuters, Bloomberg News, The Dow Jones Newswires and Worth.  Cathy has appeared as a guest on CNBC Closing Bell, First Business Morning News, Neal Cavuto at Fox Business News, ABC and CBS radio.

McBreen is co-author with Spectrem President George H. Walper, Jr. of the book "Get Rich, Stay Rich, Pass It On: The Wealth-Accumulation Secrets of America's Richest Families" (Portfolio, January 2008)

Catherine is the mother of four and is involved in many school and community events.  She is also on the Board of Trustees for DePaul's Theatre School.

Adriana Reyneri writes news briefs, features and blogs for Millionaire Corner. Before joining the website, Adriana acquired a wide range of editorial experience. She began her career as a daily newspaper reporter and has written for magazines, technical and trade publications. She has served as a marketing and communications specialist for Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. She obtained a master's degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and holds a bachelor's in English from Stanford University.

Last summer Adriana completed her first “metric” century bike ride and plans to do a full century next year. She is committed to service and has volunteered extensively, including five years as Cub Scout Den Mother. Among her many hobbies, knitting stands out as a favorite. Adriana shares her expertise with students at Three Bags Knitting Studio in Northbrook, IL.

Donald Liebenson writes news and features for Millionaire Corner. He has been published in the Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Los Angeles Times, Fiscal Times, Entertainment Weekly, Huffington Post, and other outlets. He has also served as a marketing writer for Chicago-based Questar Entertainment and distributor Baker & Taylor. 

A graduate of the University of Southern California, he is married with a college-age son (you can email your donations here). He also writes extensively about entertainment. 

George H. Walper Jr. is President of Spectrem Group.  At Spectrem, Walper brings to clients more than 30 years of experience service the high net worth and retirement services markets.  His specific emphasis is product development, marketing, sales and client service.  Prior to joining Spectrem, Walper was Senior Vice President at Harris Trust and Savings Bank, where he oversaw the bank's Institutional Trust business, and earlier was a Trust Officer at The Northern Trust.

Walper has a bachelor's degree in business from the State University of New York College at Buffalo and a master's degree in business administration from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Within the financial services industry, Walper is a well-known figure and frequent speaker at industry events, has been quoted widely by the financial media, including The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Money, InvestmentNews, Reuters, Dow Jones Newswires. Bloomberg News and Worth, and has appeared as a guest on CNBC On the Money, CNBC Morning Call, CBS Radio, ABC Radio and FOX Business News.

Walper is also co-author with Millionaire Corner President Catherine S. McBreen of the book "Get Rich, Stay Rich, Pass It On: The Wealth-Accumulation Secrets of America's Richest Families" (Portfolio, January 2008).

Katherine Dordick is Manager of Business Strategy and Development of MillionaireCorner.  She is responsible for working with Advisors on developing their profiles on the site, conducting client surveys, and developing improvement and coaching plans as a result of the client surveys. Kathy also uses her expertise in the financial arena to develop eLearning articles, white papers, and training videos designed for both the experienced and new investor.

Dordick has been in the Financial industry for over 8 years, with 6 years spent as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and Wachovia Securities, and 2 years working with institutional clients regarding their technical research needs.  While an advisor, Kathy was responsible for training across the Midwest region on the uses of estate planning, insurance, and trust development within financial advisory practices.

Dordick has been the recipient of several awards and distinctions throughout her career, including “Top Pacesetter”, “Above and Beyond”, and “Star Performer”.  Kathy is well-known for her knowledge in the financial markets and is a frequent speaker at various investor and advisor conferences and meetings. Kathy has been published on seekingalpha.com for her expertise in technical research. She holds her Series 7, 66, 33, and 3 securities licenses.

Away from the office, Kathy is heavily involved in her community and various charitable events including Chairperson for Relay for Life Antioch/Lakes area, National M.S. Society bike rides, March of Dimes March for Babies, Girl Scout Leader, T-ball coach, and PTO board member.  She is married to her husband Jason and has three daughters.

Heather Goodrich Kiely received a B.A. in Communications with a minor in both Business & Theatre from Barat College of DePaul.  She continued her studies at DePaul focusing on her MBA. Heather began her career working as a reporter on the WGN Morning News, conducting interviews and co-hosting "Around the Town" which highlights events and sports in Chicago. After working for WGN, Heather worked for Margie Korshak Inc. in Chicago where she assisted in the public relations and event management for major Chicago clients. In 2006, Heather decided to take her corporate experience and found her own company, incorporating her passion for theatre and the arts.  Heather founded and currently runs Good Vibrations, a children's performing arts co. that trains children in voice, dance, and acting.
